We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Engineer to join our team specializing in crystallization technology. In this role, you will be pivotal in designing and optimizing complex processes for both pilot-scale and commercial-scale plants. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and clients, driving project success and ensuring the highest standards of technical excellence.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:
* Project Collaboration: Participate in team and client meetings, providing valuable insights and technical expertise to ensure smooth project execution. Facilitate know-how transfer within the process engineering team.
* Sales & Commissioning Support: Provide technical support to the sales team and conduct review meetings to align project objectives. Offer on-site commissioning support to ensure successful plant startups and client satisfaction.
* Technical Design & Support: Lead the process design and sizing of Sulzer’s proprietary crystallization equipment. Conduct process calculations for the design of entire crystallization plants, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
* Data Analysis: Analyze and evaluate extensive test data from our pilot plants and operational data from commercial plants, translating findings into insights.
* Document Preparation: Prepare detailed engineering documentation.
* Mentorship & Review: Mentor and review the work of new team members, supporting a culture of learning and development.
* Compliance & Standards: Ensure all project activities adhere to Sulzer’s processes, directives, QESH regulations, and standards. Act according to Sulzer’s values and behaviors.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Master’s or PhD in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering - other relevant fields are welcome.
* Minimum of 5 years professional experience in process development, engineering, commissioning, or start-up within chemical plant design.
* Exposure to polymer or crystallization technology is a plus, but not a must.
* Strong technical expertise, problem-solving mindset, and a proactive, hands-on approach.
* Team player with high dedication and a curiosity to learn.
* Solid understanding of MS Office; programming skills are an advantage.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in German or other European languages is a nice to have.
* Willingness to travel - up to 20%.
