We are looking for an Account Manager (m/f/d) to join our sales team at our headquarters in Schindellegi, SZ, starting immediately or by agreement.
Key responsibilities
* Compile budget for existing customers and growth opportunities in the respective area of responsibility.
* Execute annual sales targets and strategies in the assigned sales area.
* Develop and maintain a project pipeline using CRM and ERP systems.
* Convert leads into new business and maintain existing customer relationships in line with budget targets.
* Analyze customer and product performance, as well as market trends.
* Monitor customer orders in coordination with the Customer Service department.
* Report customer complaints and ensure resolution with clients.
* Manage sample requests based on project opportunities.
* Indirect management of customers through business partners.
* Monitor competitor activities and report insights to the sales team.
* Plan monthly travel for customer visits, conferences, and business meetings to align with priorities and the annual budget.
* Represent the company at conferences and congresses, either as attendee or presenter.
Requirements
* Degree in Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Plastics Processing.
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in a European environment, preferably in the plastics industry, and/or masterbatches and compounds, plastics converters, or plastics machinery markets.
* Proven ability to manage and grow customer relationships, execute commercial strategies, and acquire new customers.
* Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
* Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
* Openness to frequent business travels, a minimum of 50% availability is required.
* Spoken and written fluency in English. Additional languages like French and Spanish are welcome but not decisive.
