EINFÜHRUNG: As a preferred supplier for Roche Diagnostics in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer in R&D Point of Care Development (m/f/d). This is a full/part-time position (80-100%) with a one-year duration and the possibility of an extension until 2027. The earliest start date is 01. September 2024 and the latest 01. November 2024. Home Office is by arrangement max. 20% and the rest must be onsite in Rotkreuz in Switzerland.
AUFGABENBESCHREIBUNG:
1. Actively promote the tasks and own your work packages in a matrix organized project.
2. Conduct all phases of mechanical development from feasibility studies through to design review, unit testing, troubleshooting and sustenance.
3. Perform detailed engineering analysis, including tolerance analysis, FMEA, FEA and Design for X on a highly integrated system.
4. Define, design, and maintain 3D CAD models including detailed 2D drawings of individual parts.
5. Execute technical reviews involving different stakeholders from R&D, Operations and Customer Support.
6. Participation in the definition of work packages, their estimation, planning, and implementation in a sprint-based agile environment, in close collaboration with the project team and stakeholders.
7. Prepare and deliver technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders, adhering to regulatory compliance.
ERFORDERLICHES PROFIL:
1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably experience in the medtech industry.
2. Min. 5-7+ years experience as a mechanical engineer in the development of complex medical systems and with multiphysics interaction (electromechanical, optical, thermal, chemical).
3. Hands-on expertise in CAD for mechanical design (CATIA V5 / Solidworks preferred) and SAP as PLM, in compliance with ISO GPS for 2D drawings and 3D models.
4. Affinity for methodical and systematic approach in product development, as well as a solid understanding of physics and engineering fundamentals.
5. Curious mindset with strong resilience and foresight to passionately implement long-term improvements in a technically and organizationally complex environment.
6. Cultivating a profound understanding of multifactorial challenges.
7. Proven ability to thrive in collaborative, agile and transparent environments, including working within multidisciplinary teams in regulated settings.
8. Fluency in English spoken and written is a MUST; listening and reading comprehension in German is a plus.
