We are excited to announce the opening of a new opportunity for a candidate in Switzerland.
As a trainee flavourist, you will embark on a comprehensive three-year internal training program where you will develop the technical, commercial, and artistic skills necessary to become a Flavourist at one of Givaudan's creation sites. You will have the opportunity to craft innovative flavours for the future.
The program is based on a Global Curriculum and is delivered by our experts primarily in The Netherlands and Switzerland. The Europe Flavourist Training Programme is designed around the success profile of a Givaudan Flavourist. It features a comprehensive and modular curriculum that integrates not only technical competencies but also interpersonal skills and business acumen.

Main responsibilities:
* Participate in the Flavourist Training Programme: Learn about the ingredients used to create a variety of flavours, such as strawberry, chicken, and mushroom. You will discover how to adapt these flavours to cater to different taste preferences across different countries and create flavours for applications like soft drinks, yogurt, and dry soups, while following food legislation.
* Assist Flavourists on Customer Projects: Gain hands-on experience by collaborating with an experienced Flavourist to develop innovative flavors tailored to customer needs.
* Participate in Flavour and Product Evaluations: Stay up to date with the latest developments in the food industry by participating in tasting sessions with colleagues and customers to evaluate newly created flavors.
* Data Management: Enter and retrieve data using our database software.
* Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment in compliance with EH&S guidelines.
* Prepare Presentations: Summarize your learning experiences and suggest improvements in different areas of the company through presentations to technical management.
About You:
* At least Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Organic or Analytical Chemistry, Biology
* Some relevant experience in the Food Industry or related area
* Commitment to work in any location according to our needs in one of Givaudan Flavour creation sites in Europe
* Willingness to travel
* Willingness of working in any segment according to the company needs
* Affinity with food and cooking
* Excellent organoleptic skills - part of the recruitment process is an organoleptic test
* Fluent German and English knowledge
* Good technical, commercial and presentation skills
* Team player who easily works with colleagues and customers, also from other cultures
* Quick learner, high learning agility and good self-knowledge
* Can organize and plan work independently and takes ownership
