Back-End Engineer

Tasks
Within LIGENTEC’s engineering team, our mission is to bring our integrated photonics platform to the next level, building on its world-class passive photonics and extending the functionality with active component integration.
Role and Responsibilities
You are part of an interdisciplinary team that manages crucial aspects of the company's operations. It involves process development on the 100mm R&D line, specialty runs, and heterogeneous integration activities. They are also responsible for production and piloting across the 100mm fab, Singulation, and Quality Control, ensuring seamless processes and optimal output to complete customer satisfaction.
* Manage the PIC delivery to the customers.
* Check that the delivered product matches product specifications and functionality.
* Understand the effect and origin of the fabrication defects, responsible PIC dispatch decision.
* Optimize and establish procedures for efficient PIC packaging and quality checks.
* Conduct visual inspection, sort chips, and prepare quality reports
* Responsible for inventory system and related improvements
* Conduct optical testing of process control monitoring (PCM) cell, data processing, and reporting
* Investigate ways to automate the processes.
* Coordinate work with other team members.
Requirements
* Master’s degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, physical or nano engineering.
* Min of 2 years of industrial working experience in quality assurance, testing or product delivery process definition.
* Experience of work in the cleanroom environment and micro fabrication techniques is a plus.
* Understanding of photonic devices like modulators, photodiodes and lasers is a plus.
* Knowledge of python for statistical data analysis.
* Excellent technical problem-solving skills.
