For our client, a multinational company headquartered in Fribourg, Switzerland, we are searching for a Regional Group Financial Controller.
Tasks
1. Management Control and Financial Reporting: Carry out control activities, review monthly closings and prepare financial reports for the assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines. Validate reports in collaboration with local financial teams and conduct a monthly review of the figures.
2. Budgetary Control: Participate in the development of budgets and forecasts. Review budget forecasts and analyze the differences between actual results vs. budgets and forecasts. Monitor OPEX and CAPEX expenses.
3. Financial Process Optimization: Coordinate, support and analyze finance and management control processes to promote consistency and best practices within the organization. Participate in the implementation and maintenance of financial information systems (SAGE X3) and improve reporting processes (IBM PA).
4. Cost Control and Management: Provide analysis, monitor variances and interpret discrepancies. Conduct profitability analyses and identify cost reduction opportunities. Compare and standardize financial analyses between entities.
5. Local Support: Supervise local financial teams to standardize procedures. Ensure coordination between headquarters and plantations and support financial performance analysis.
6. Presentation of figures at headquarters: Prepare and present monthly financial results to management members. Supervise the development of Board Packs for boards of directors and general meetings, ensuring their reliability and integrity.
7. Ad-hoc: Organize the annual budget review (Finance Tour) and the Finance Seminar every two years. Carry out ad hoc analyses to meet the strategic needs of management. Ensure rigorous management of local entity cash flow.
Requirements
1. Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Management or equivalent.
2. At least 5 years' experience in Management Control, Audit or Consulting, including 3 years in Big 4 or similar.
3. Excellent knowledge of Excel.
4. Ideally knowledge of SAGE3 and/or SUN and/or IBM PA.
5. Perfect oral and written command of French and English. Portuguese would be a plus.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to work in a team and coordinate with different departments.
8. Good communication skills.
9. Able to travel frequently.
10. Flexibility, versatility & curiosity.
