AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
Amazon Web Services has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager to help AWS continue to grow our cloud computing business and make an impact in the Public Sector in Switzerland. The successful candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator, both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline project initiatives. They will have successfully delivered complex business development project deliverables including managing cost, scheduling, and performance for portfolios, programs, or individual projects. The candidate will be comfortable managing business development initiatives across the whole business in Switzerland and Austria and deliver business growth projects successfully.
Key job responsibilities
1. Define, build, and manage Public Sector Business Development Programs.
2. Work closely and communicate effectively with partners, AWS sales, partner teams, and AWS teams in Switzerland and around the world using a variety of mediums.
3. Drive business development programs with internal and external stakeholders; proactively communicate with senior and executive level stakeholders.
4. Own customer relationships to drive government transformation programs.
5. Work across sales regions to understand functional and technical requirements to ensure the successful delivery of business initiatives.
6. Develop and track multiple programs and key performance metrics.
7. Identify opportunities to improve our go to market and generate new revenue streams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Significant business development and program management experience including the following disciplines: go to market, scope, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management.
2. Exceptional analytical, quantitative and presentation skills.
3. Exceptional communication skills in German and English; both verbal and written.
4. Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. International professional experience.
2. Experience working with digital transformation or providing technology solutions for the Public Sector in Switzerland.
3. Familiarity with Cloud and AWS.
4. Masters or certification in public administration.
