Our “Predictive Analytics” group, based in Alpnach Switzerland is looking for a (Senior) Data Scientist/Engineer.
Your mission
The Predictive Analytics group is looking for a motivated and skilled Data Scientist/Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and deploy advanced data-driven algorithms tailored to the challenges of Swiss industry and research partners. Your expertise will ensure that our collaborators benefit from the latest advancements in AI, deep learning, and predictive analytics, driving meaningful impact in their operations.
As a (Senior) Data Scientist/Engineer, your task is to develop and implement state-of-the-art systems and algorithms in the field of predictive analytics (condition monitoring, predictive maintenance, predictive quality, root cause analysis, process data). The subject matter extends across multiple industries and involves developing initial concepts, assessing feasibility, implementing solutions, and deploying them to our partners. You will lead multidisciplinary industrial and research projects, propose groundbreaking ideas, and contribute to business development and technology dissemination.
Your responsibilities
* Algorithm Development: The primary focus will be on working with time series and structured (tabular) data. However, there might be projects that involve other types of data (e.g., images, text, spectroscopy data etc).
* Technical lead: Be responsible for all technical aspects of a project. Mentor other team members.
* Project Management: Manage industrial and innovation projects. Depending on your experience, this could include overseeing resources, setting objectives, addressing issues, and managing the budget, or specific parts of the project.
* Continuous Learning: Continuously monitor the state-of-the-art advancements in the field and ensure integration of the latest technologies into our projects.
Your profile
Know-how
• Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Neuroinformatics, Engineering, Robotics, or a related field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning. Several years of industrial experience are preferred, but recent graduates with a relevant Master’s thesis are also encouraged to apply.
• Minimal Requirements:
- Proven experience in Python.
- Proven experience with classical machine learning and deep learning (publications or relevant industrial experience).
- Digital Signal Processing.
- Understanding of industrial machinery.
• Nice to have:
- Experience working with databases (e.g., SQL).
- Experience with high-performance computing environments.
- Proven experience in integrating machine learning models into production systems or developing performance-critical applications.
- Experience in computer vision.
- Research publications on LLMs (Large Language Models).
Interpersonal skills
• Structured and analytical problem solving, individual contributor.
• Proactive, dedicated, resilient, and innovation-driven.
• Fluency in English required, German highly beneficial.
