The Position
Internal Auditor
A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and for generations to come. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love. That’s what makes us Roche.
The Opportunity
As an independent review function within the Roche Group, the Group Audit team provides assurance to the senior leaders of Roche by assessing and understanding the inherent risks to the entire organization, and by improving the efficiency and compliance of operations. In this exciting and challenging role you will be joining the Global Commercial Audit Team (GCAT). We are a multicultural and dynamic team based in Basel, Switzerland. We conduct risk based business processes audits globally in our local commercial affiliates for all core Roche businesses (Pharma and Diagnostics). The development of our team members is strongly supported within Group Audit and the Roche Group.
As a Senior Auditor your key role and responsibilities are to:
* Conduct risk-based audits of business processes primarily in our Affiliate commercial units in both the Pharma and Diagnostics. Our audit approach follows the principles outlined by the Institute of Internal Audit (https://global.theiia.org).
* Partner with stakeholders, including senior members of the audited organisations, to evaluate business risks, agree appropriate action plans to improve internal controls as well as the effectiveness of their operations.
* Follow up on issues and actions identified during the audit to ensure they are completed satisfactorily.
* As team lead, effectively manage and support a team of auditors through audit engagements.
Who you are:
You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.
You have solid academic credentials (Bachelors or Master’s degree) in a business or financial field. You bring 3 to 6 years of practical experience in the pharmaceutical or diagnostics industry or Audit experience in another industry (with a CIA certification) and have in-depth knowledge of processes and risks either in commercial, financial, strategic marketing or business development.
In addition, you bring the following skills and competencies:
* A genuine interest in streamlining and optimising business processes and workflows.
* A critical, curious mind-set, and a passion to safeguard Roche's licence to operate.
* Strong communication skills: excellent negotiation and influencing skills as well as ability to convey difficult messages in a clear and constructive way.
* Your English allows you to converse fluently and concisely, which leads to efficient interviews. Your written reports are clear, concise and easy to read. Additional languages are a plus.
* You bring strong team- and collaboration skills and you enjoy working in an international environment, interacting with different cultures.
* Experience in a commercial, financial or audit role in a large multinational, and/or experience in project management, in agile ways of working (e.g. as scrum master), or leading transformation are considered as valuable add-ons.
The position involves a moderate amount of travel world-wide (up to 25%).
This position is located in Basel, Switzerland.
