Are you looking for a development platform that will enable you to broaden your IT understanding and experience? Our multicultural and dynamic IT audit team of five is looking for a new member to further expand its skills base and diversity. We offer a role that will provide exposure to IT organisations, the related business functions that are significantly supported by IT, as well as to technology-driven business functions.
About Group Audit
Group Audit is an independent function within the Roche Group that provides assurance to the Senior Management and the Board of Directors. We assess the management of risks in the organisation, as well as the governance, efficiency and compliance of business operations for all core Roche businesses (Pharma and Diagnostics).
Group Audit offers significant development opportunities for its members, and group auditors typically make their next career step in business functions close to their expertise.
As a Senior IT Auditor:
As part of our IT audit team, you will be primarily responsible to assess risks, lead and deliver IT audits across multiple disciplines, including:
1. IT governance and alignment to business objectives
2. Project and programme reviews, incl. organisational transformation
3. IT security, infrastructure and networks
4. Emerging and disruptive technologies (e.g. AI, RPA, ML, LLM)
5. Data privacy, data and information governance
You will also bring your IT expertise to and participate in audits managed by non-IT audit teams.
You will partner with stakeholders, including senior leaders of the IT organisation, to develop an understanding of their organisations. You will execute the scope of the above audits, communicate the results and make recommendations.
You will also be responsible to follow up on issues and actions to ensure they are completed satisfactorily.
The role is based in Basel, Switzerland. The position involves travel world-wide (approx. 15%).
Main requirements:
1. 5-7 years of experience in IT Functions or equivalent.
2. External candidates with proven IT internal audit experience or strong IT consulting are also encouraged to apply. A distinct advantage is your understanding and experience of IT Functions transformations.
3. Solid academic credentials (master degree), ideally in IT.
4. Proficient communication skills, alongside influencing and negotiating. Business proficiency in English (written and verbal) is a must.
5. Technical acumen in IT is required, however you do not need to be an expert in all of the areas listed above. A reasonable appreciation of many of them (incl. risk knowledge) is a distinct differentiation.
6. A distinct advantage is your understanding and experience of data-related domains: data science, data privacy, data information governance and data analytics.
7. Critical thinking, growth mindset and analytical skills are essential characteristics to drive success in this role.
With the application, please attach a CV, as well as a cover letter to briefly share your personal motivation that supports your interest for this role.
