Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will drive all financial activities within a single large project, specific to Ports Electrification. Acting as a business partner to the Project Manager, you will support all financial and commercial matters and actively drive the project's performance. You will be mainly accountable for:
1. Advising on financial aspects, supporting negotiations, and managing risk reviews.
2. Providing financial input to the Project Execution Plan.
3. Handling project accounting, invoicing, and compliance with ABB’s revenue recognition and (USGAAP) policies.
4. Optimizing cash flow, revenues, and gross margin with the Project Manager.
5. Overseeing currency risk, bonds and guarantees, and tax issues.
6. Participating in opportunity/risk identification and achievement of opportunities and mitigation of risk in project execution.
7. Having joint responsibility with the Project Manager for all financial aspects.
8. Supporting the Project Manager in coordinating and preparing monthly/quarterly project reviews.
9. Participating in preparing the project cost report.
10. Verifying the substance for cost to complete and keeping the required auditable evidence.
11. Promoting commercial awareness and managing claims, back-charges, and insurance cases.
12. Ensuring adherence to corporate governance and performing required project controls.
Qualifications for the role
* Over 5 years of project controlling experience from marine or industrial sectors.
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business-related areas.
* Experience working with SAP or ERP.
* Ability to navigate complex projects.
* Proficiency in Dutch language.
* Good analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
* Self-driven with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
