The Area Sales Manager manages and coordinates all sales activities within his/her area with focus on achieving the company's objectives and in accordance with the overall objectives. The Sales Team Leader develops his/her sales force in such a way that the growth objectives can be achieved together.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operative and situationally adapted management and coaching of the sales force
2. Derivation and definition of the individual goals of the own team based on higher-level objectives
3. Support of the Line Manager in defining the annual business and budget plan based on the sales and commercial strategy
4. Monitoring and evaluation of the achievement of objectives and performance as well as initiating the professional and personal development of the sales force
5. Preparation of offers and contracts for cooperation with large customers
6. Leading contract negotiations with larger customers
7. Control of contracts of business developers in the area
8. Create and interpret analyses and evaluations from the sales information system
9. Summary, analysis and reporting of customer and market information in order to recognize trends early
10. Recording and forwarding of observations of market and customer developments to the Line Manager and implementation of suitable measures
11. Ensuring an efficient and effective flow of information to internal departments and external contacts
12. Establishing, maintaining and strengthening important customer contacts
13. Planning, scheduling, coordination and control of the implementation of the sales activities of the team in accordance with the applicable directives and guidelines and the overall objectives
14. Planning and implementation of projects in the region
15. Responsible for the various material budgets
16. Ensuring the correct disbursement of the contracts including control of the disbursement
17. Individual coaching and developing of each Business Developer
Minimum Requirements:
1. Completed apprenticeship or university studies
2. Completed additional education in sales or marketing
3. Several years of work experience required (min. 5 years) as a business developer or Key Account Manager, experience in management/coordinating teams is a plus
4. Strong negotiating and analytical skills
5. Driving license
6. French & English (German is a plus)
