Pensions Actuary Role
We are seeking an experienced Pensions Actuary to join our team. As a key member of our pensions actuarial team, you will work on a wide range of DB pensions projects for clients and bulk annuity providers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Data Validation and Improvement Projects: You will be responsible for data validation, audits, and improvement/creation projects for our pension clients.
* Benefits and Data Due Diligence: Your expertise will be utilized in benefits and data due diligence activities, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our clients' data.
* Benefit Calculation Proforma: You will create or review benefit calculation proformas for administration teams to use on smaller clients, streamlining their processes.
* Calculations Testing: With your deep understanding of pensions calculations, you will test automated results against manual calculations and identify errors in/improve automated calculations.
* Benefit Summary Specification Creation or Review: Your skills will be applied in creating or reviewing benefit summary specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Actuarial Knowledge and Expertise: As a member of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, you will be working towards becoming a qualified actuary or starting the actuarial exams, with full study support available.
* Pensions Actuarial Experience: Ideally, you will have experience working in a pensions actuarial team, specifically with GMP (Guaranteed Minimum Pension) knowledge.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, particularly vlookups and macros, is essential. Experience in using PFaroe actuarial software is preferable.
* Teamwork and Adaptability: As a good team player, you must possess an excellent attitude and flexible approach to work, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
