Job Title: Sr. Specialist Environmental Compliance
This role requires deep regulatory expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
The primary function of this position is to ensure our products and operations comply with European environmental regulations and industry standards.
* Stay up-to-date on evolving EU environmental compliance trends.
* Lead environmental compliance projects in collaboration with domestic and corporate partners.
* Coordinate and prepare environmental compliance documentation for tender support, market access, audits, or reporting.
* Ensure due reporting to European recycling schemes.
* Conduct audits to assess environmental compliance across day-to-day operations.
* Educate and train staff on environmental regulations and company practices.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Other projects may be assigned as necessary.
* Travel: up to 20%.
Requirements
Required qualifications:
* At least 5+ years' experience in environmental compliance.
* A Bachelor degree, Engineering or Master's degree in environmental science, mechanical or electrical engineering, life sciences or similar (or equivalent work experience in a similar function).
* Strong understanding of global environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
* Ability to work autonomously and exercise daily judgment based on above regulatory knowledge.
* Demonstrated organizational and planning skills, including action-oriented and can-do attitude, focused urgency and driving for results.
* Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, ability to distill complexity and provide clear and actionable direction.
* Orientation for work result details, with emphasis on accuracy and completeness.
* Computer literacy (PC, Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Language: Fluent English.
