As Finance Manager you'll ensure all aspects of the finance function within your country are managed to a high standard. You will be responsible for the management of all financial ledgers ensuring all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and are compliant with Group accounting policies.
You'll be working to our hybrid model and go to the Baar office 2 days a week to work alongside your colleagues.
* Provide Insights Group with all reporting required for your country.
* Prepare month end trial balance within Group reporting deadlines, ensuring all transactions are included and reconciled.
* Maintain all subsidiary ledgers – banking, sales, purchases, stock, payroll, fixed assets.
* In conjunction with Group Treasury ensure that agreed liquidity levels are managed and maintained, and that there are appropriate controls in place regarding bank accounts.
* Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed on a regular basis and in accordance with Group accounting policies.
* Apply Group finance accounting policies and ensure that finance data and processes are optimised.
* Apply credit control policies to ensure aged debt and bad debts are minimised.
* Ensure all VAT and corporation tax returns are completed on time, in association with external accountants and Group tax.
* Liaison with external auditors/accountants as required to ensure statutory reporting is completed in accordance with Group timetable.
* Working with the Country Manager, proactively identify and implement opportunities to improve the financial performance of the country.
* Ensure any country-specific reporting is completed.
* As part of the Finance team proactively look to improve systems and reporting to deliver a best-in-class finance function.
* Raise awareness of any finance issues within your country.
* You'll be fluent in German and have conversational English
* Able to travel to the Baar office at least 1 day a week
* Extensive technical knowledge in all aspects of accounting to ensure that all of the finance activity within your country is accurate and in line with Group and local regulations.
* Ability to make policy decisions balancing the often-ambiguous requirements of regulatory requirements and the needs of the business.
* A proactive thinker who will anticipate issues and solve them before they impact our business.
* A strong communicator allowing you to work with our shareholders, external stakeholders and employees across a number of functions within Insights.
* Ability to work across a broad range of disciplines within Insights including Legal, HR, Group
* You'll be interested in continuing your professional development to ensure you are always technically up to date.
