We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented paralegal to play a key role on our legal team.
Responsibilities
1. Draft court documents such as affidavits, motions, complaints, conduct legal research for trial preparation, and maintain organized case files.
2. E-file court paperwork with the Massachusetts Probate & Family Court, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
3. Interface with the Massachusetts Virtual Registry to manage and inquire about filings, maintaining effective communication.
4. Follow up with the court regarding filing status and upcoming dates, and record these dates accurately on the office calendar.
5. Provide timely client reassurance and updates, addressing concerns to enhance client satisfaction.
6. Participate in staff meetings and client meetings as required, providing updates and insights relevant to case management.
7. Maintain the office filing system, including uploading paperwork into practice management software and keeping documents readily accessible.
Qualifications
* Hold an ABA-approved paralegal certificate program or equivalent, with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
* Have at least 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney, with family law and divorce experience desired.
* Possess strong interpersonal skills, fluency in English, and talent for writing and grammar.
* Demonstrate excellent organizational skills, time-management skills, and ability to learn quickly.
* Be familiar with AI tools for legal research and possess an affinity for technology.
