This position, based in Basel, Switzerland, focuses on our esteemed licensed brands: Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade New York.
As a Regional Merchandiser EMEA, you will play a pivotal role in supporting and collaborating with global brand teams, regional sales, key account partners, marketing and demand planners to implement brand strategies that help achieve both financial and business objectives.
This individual will represent the global brand teams in key account meetings, ensuring a balance between global brand identity and regional adaptation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Assortment Planning And Lifecycle Management: Collaborate with global brand teams to implement tiered assortment strategies, ensuring alignment with global guidance while adapting to local market needs. Evaluate and communicate regional preferences to ensure a carefully curated product mix that resonates with consumers.
2. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with regional demand planning, commercial teams, and marketing teams to drive synergy and alignment on product selections, inventory levels, and promotional strategies. Act as the liaison between commercial teams and global merchandising teams, ensuring key account needs are met. Support the growth of new commercial platforms in key markets while staying aligned with global brand initiatives.
3. Sales Analysis, Competitive Intelligence, And Sales Tools: Collaborate with commercial teams to analyze sales data and provide insights that drive growth and support key accounts. Use market data to monitor competitors’ assortments, pricing, and strategies, identifying opportunities and gaps. Stay updated on regional trends and consumer behavior to keep product strategies competitive. Create region-specific merchandising tools to empower sales teams and support success for each of the licensed brands in their respective markets.
4. Distribution/Door Count Management: Support the global team with new distribution approvals and the management of annual door count tracking to ensure brand presence is optimized across the region.
5. Quarterly Fixture Buys: Collaborate with the global team in managing quarterly fixture requirements, following growth strategies and prioritizing key markets for maximum impact.
6. Trade Show & Regional Support: Provide active support in planning and preparing for key trade shows and account meetings. Ensure that all brands are properly represented and positioned for success in these events.
Key Skills & Qualifications
* Experience: 10 years of experience in merchandising, fashion, accessories, or consumer goods, ideally with luxury or premium brands.
* Brand Understanding: Strong knowledge of the Emporio Armani, Armani Exchange, Tory Burch, and Kate Spade New York brand positioning, aesthetic, and market presence.
* Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of regional consumer behavior, luxury retail landscapes, and competitive positioning.
* Data-Driven Approach: Ability to analyze sales data, trends, and performance metrics to make informed merchandising decisions.
* Collaboration & Communication: Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working across cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and global brand teams.
* Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment, balancing global brand strategies with local market execution.
