Place of Assignment: WIPO HQ, Geneva, Switzerland and/or remotely
Expected duration of assignment: 12 months with a possibility to renew for a further 12 months
1. Organizational Context
a. Organizational Setting
The Contractor will work in the Enterprise Solutions Division (ESD) that provides support to users of the portfolio of applications collectively known the Administrative Integrated Management System (AIMS). The Division also ensures continuous development and ongoing support of IT solutions pertinent to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) based on PeopleSoft, Oracle Hyperion, Oracle OBIEE, Taleo Recruitment and custom web-applications. The ESD is composed of a Service Desk for Level 1 user support and 3 Solution Teams led by the Solution Managers. Each Solution Team liaises with its respective business area(s) such as HR, Finance, Procurement, Performance and Budget, etc. for the support and new initiatives related to the AIMS applications.
b. Objective of the assignment
ESD is launching a major initiative consisting of migration of WIPO’s BI components from multiple on-premises platforms such as Oracle OBIEE and Oracle Hyperion into Cloud, using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and for the implementation of data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI. The main role of this consultant is to support the data analytics, data visualization and data communication in regard to this initiative. The contractor will liaise with ERP business stakeholders, such as HR, Finance, Procurement, Budget and Performance management, in the development and implementation of new dashboards and reports in the data visualization tools such as Tableau and Power BI.
c. Reporting Lines
The contractor works under the supervision of the AIMS Reporting Lead (ESD).
2. Expected Deliverables and Services
The Contractor will perform the following principal duties within the WIPO Analytics project:
1. Work with business process owners and ESD solution teams to collect data from existing ERP applications and reports through means such as analysing business results or by setting up and managing new studies;
2. Transfer data into a new format to make it more appropriate for analysis and for migration to Cloud;
3. Search through large data sets for usable information;
4. Liaise with the targeted business stakeholders and delivery teams to design and deliver business reports and dashboards, using Tableau/Power BI;
5. Be the focal point for the implementation of these reports, including communication, end user support, documentation, etc.;
6. Support business users to build reporting and analytics self-service capabilities;
7. Define and communicate the value that can be derived from analytical models;
8. Perform other related duties as required.
3. Requirements
Education (Essential)
Advanced university degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or a related field. A first-level university degree plus two years of relevant experience in addition to the experience requested below may be accepted in lieu of an advanced university degree.
Certifications related to data science.
Understanding of Agile and/or PRINCE2. ITIL foundation and basic project management certification, e.g. PRINCE2 foundation certification.
Experience (Essential)
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, which includes several or all following areas: Business Intelligence, statistics, data analytics, data visualization, data communication and campaigns, software development. Expertise in report and dashboard design and delivery using Tableau or Power BI.
Substantial hands-on experience working with at least two of the following software solutions: PeopleSoft HCM, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft Update Manager, Hyperion Planning, Oracle Business Intelligence, Acuity Risk Management, Oracle Taleo Recruiting Cloud Service, Business Process Management and Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Project management experience.
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of French.

11. Competent user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the internet, and the ability to quickly adapt to new software, applications and systems.
Job Related Competencies (Desirable)
Good knowledge of ERP business practices in relation to the following areas: Financials, Commitment Control, Procurement, Human Resource Management, Recruitment, Business Process Management, Automation of Cross-Functional Business Processes, and Customer Relationship Management. Knowledge of financial and / or HR business processes applied by the United Nations.
4. Duration of contract and payment
Initial contract duration is 12 months, renewable depending on performance, needs and budget. Applicants are requested to provide an indication of their remuneration expectations in Swiss francs (daily rate).
