The Department of Organic Chemistry of the University of Geneva enjoys international recognition for a tradition of excellence in research and teaching. The research activities in the Department focus on the key expertise of the organic chemist that is the ability to transform matter and to create and study new molecules and supramolecular architectures with relevance in biological, pharmaceutical, medicinal or materials sciences. | The position is full time and includes primarily managing and maintaining the pool of all the spectroscopic instruments of the Organic Chemistry Department (NMR, IR, UV-vis, ECD, Spectrofluorometer, React-IR...). Teaching at the BSc level of spectroscopic methods applied to solving organic chemistry problems, training of doctoral student, and administrative duties is also expected. The Department of Organic Chemistry offers a stimulating environment in synthesis, catalysis, supramolecular materials and chemical biology, provides modern infrastructure, and enjoys stimulating synergies within the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry. |
REQUIREMENTS: PhD degree or equivalent. Previous experience positively considered (>3 y.).
