The role
As a key member of the Swiss team, you will play a crucial role in driving and managing key business processes, supporting marketing activities, planning and executing events as well as spending half of your time in the field engaging with customers.
You will report directly to the General Manager of Switzerland who is based in Zurich.
Your key responsibilities will be
* Support the development of customer materials using Ascendis Pharma processes, platforms, SOPs, and established vendors
* Drive and manage business processes for the team including vendor, project, and contract management as well as some of the key administrative tasks
* Key player in the organization of customer events (AdBoards, Symposia, Congress Activities, launch meetings) and in project management
* Create and maintain substantial business contacts to health care professionals and nurses in the endocrine rare disease space
* Gain insights from physicians and other key stakeholders, supports development of a clear customer understanding in Switzerland
* Position the TransCon technology and Ascendis brands appropriately and compliantly across the defined external target group(s)
* Place customers at the centre of what we do in addressing needs and finding appropriate solutions
* Foster team effectiveness by sharing knowledge, experience, and insights
* Collaborate with local and regional functions such as Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Quality, Compliance, Product Supply, Legal for launch preparation
Qualifications and skills
* Relevant academic degree - preferably a M.Sc. or PhD in Health Science, PharmD or MD or a Master in Business Administration
* 3-5 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry with ideally launch and/or rare disease experience (endocrinology knowledge is a plus)
* Omnichannel mindset and digital capabilities including social media
* Knowledge of the Swiss Healthcare system and hospital environment
* Independent use of I-detailing on an iPad and CRM territory management systems
* Knowledge of the Swiss Healthcare system and hospital environment
* Fluent in German or French, good knowledge of English, additional Swiss national language skills a plus
