This position is responsible for maintaining product engineering documentation and the distribution and archiving of supporting drawings and revision controlled documents. The position is also responsible for supporting product information in SAP to synchronize engineering designs with production procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management: (20%)
Manage the planning and on-time setup of new article numbers in SAP to support New Product Development and Existing product Engineering.
Input Engineering and Production Bills of Material in a timely manner to support production and project timeline.
Work with PDM counterparts in Jona regarding changes to incorrect SAP entries.
Setup/Correct Item Master and supporting Bill of Material in SAP.
Distribute approved drawings (assembly, rough-in, repair parts, Cell, Dynamic Repair Part renderings).
Manual revision control of artwork, AKA Tags, and installation instructions.
Maintain synchronization between released part prints and SAP revision control.
Address discrepancies found in Bills of Material and drawings.
Support production with scheduling and executing planned BOM changes.
Support the tracking to article information and BOM changes.
Product System Implementation: (25%)
Maintain the accuracy of data within SAP including material status and product Bill of Material.
Maintain the SAP workflow for Item master creation and initial populating mandatory SAP fields.
Maintain document release procedure.
Maintain data integrity and process in accordance with ISO requirements.
Product Support: (20%)
Create article numbers and Bills of Material that support the Product Configurator and Custom Request processes.
Create laboratory product Bills of Material and update SAP UOM that do not exist for ordered products.
Communicate with production and product marketing to efficiently deliver prompt service supporting the needs of the customer.
Provide product knowledge with direction to supporting documents.
All other duties as assigned (5%).

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required:
4+ years of experience in document control and processing of engineering changes.
4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
3+ years of experience in an ERP system, preferably SAP.
2+ years of experience with PDF converter.
3+ years of Microsoft Office software experience.

Some of the travel may be overnight.
