Overview
LDC is on the lookout for a Sr Program Manager to enhance its Global Innovation team. In this multifaceted role combining ideation, incubation, and feasibility. For key innovation areas, you will frame the business innovation objectives and lead the scoping, validation and incubation / pilot stages driving it from idea to scale.
You will gather ideas to grow the business using various resources such as market information, consumer insight, or personal networks. You will translate ideas into actionable and profitable business, establishing innovation programs supported by financial estimates.
You will engage key stakeholders across the business to ensure successful implementation of innovation projects.
Ideas : supply chain digitalization, new proteins solutions, B2C products development, sustainable solutions, or trading support with AI, among others.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze all the business activities and develop innovation strategies, leading new programs, removing barriers and organizing action plans with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Manage external partners: consultancy companies, startups, venture incubators, or software companies.
* Develop partnership with Leadership teams to engage them and sponsor the business incubation; by finding out their needs, issues, and concerns; and support the communication of business decisions.
* Build relationships with R&D, Industrial, Sales, IT, Financial, Supply Chain and Back-office teams, to create synergies and drive execution.
* Manage net present value (NPV) of your innovation portfolio, ensure follow-up with stakeholders, and motivate people to achieve action plans.
* Lead the development of new strategies, applying functional expertise with R&D, application, or innovation centers to test the viability and capability of new product/solutions pipelines.
* Perform business case development, financial modeling, and accounting and valuation analyses (incorporating probability, time, cost, and budget impacts) for optimal strategic and investment decision-making.
* Support and close key deals of strategic and/or financial significance for the company, being internal, start-ups or M&A.
* Lead the implementation of the product/service road map, ensuring the right resources are in place to execute on the innovation strategy across the various stages of the pipeline.
Experience
Required experience and technical skills
* Master's Degree or equivalent Level (Business or Engineering school with an academic background either in Finance, or Business Management, or General/Food Engineering).
* Experience successfully navigating within a global organization, ideally linked to the Food and Beverage industry (we also consider professionals coming from other industries).
* Over 10 years of experience in Project/Program management and 5 years as innovation expert, analyzing complex business and setting-up new strategies.
* Strong analytical skills with financial acumen (accounting, investment funds, CAPEX).
* Fluent English is mandatory.
* Other languages are a plus (French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, among others).
* Strategic Mindset and ability to manage innovation programs into a matrix organization.
* Proven leadership and communication skills to coordinate projects with multiple stakeholders.
* A good balance between creativity and pragmatism.
* Able to work in a fast-paced & international environment.
