Junior Project Manager for the Biomedical Data Science Center (BDSC)
In order to complete the team of the Biomedical Data Science Center (BDSC) at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV), we are looking for a Junior Project Manager to help manage innovative projects in biomedical data science, AI, and machine learning, driving progress in biomedicine.
Contexte
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of five Swiss university hospitals. Through its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in the areas of medical care, medical research, and training.
The mission of the Biomedical Data Science Center is to develop and apply (in collaboration with researchers and clinicians) computer and statistical methods to analyze large amounts of genomic, clinical, and experimental data (e.g., single-cell RNAseq, spatial transcriptomics, etc.) in order to accelerate medical discoveries that will help us treat our patients better. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic and growing team and support major national and international scientific collaborations relating to important medical problems (cancer, COVID, HIV, etc.).
Mission
* Coordinate assigned projects in line with the strategic goals defined by the BDSC director and program manager, including project design, reporting, and team collaboration.
* Support the BDSC director and program manager in administrative and operational tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the center.
* Assist in financial management, including helping with research fund allocation and related invoices.
* Serve as the communication point person for the BDSC projects, ensuring clear and consistent communication through articles, reports, and digital platforms.
* Manage and update the BDSC website, producing and maintaining content regularly.
Profil
* Master’s degree in biology, genetics, bioinformatics, business administration, or equivalent.
* Training in project management (Scrum Master certification is a plus).
* At least 2 years of teamwork experience.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in project management, preferably in scientific or IT domains.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills in French and English.
* Solid organizational skills and experience coordinating collaborative projects.
* Proficiency in IT tools and project management platforms (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
* Ability to manage and develop content for websites and digital communication channels.
* Knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies is an advantage.
