Circular Economy and Methane-Rich Gas Production
Our company is a leading-edge organization in the field of organic waste treatment and recovery. We utilize a catalytic hydrothermal gasification technology to transform organic waste into methane-rich gas, clean water, and various minerals. This innovative process has been successfully demonstrated with an industrial pilot, and we are now embarking on a scale-up phase for mass production of organic waste treatment units.
You will play a key role in our team made up of high-level engineers and experienced technicians. Working closely with management and R&D teams, you will have the opportunity to participate in the growth of our company, which values dynamism, flexibility, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities
* Manage the scale-up phase and industrialization of equipment for industrial series production
* Participate in process design, from conceptual study to technical details: PIDs, functional analyses, calculation of material and energy balances
* Define specifications for production equipment, including components affected by the scale-up
* Draft calls for tender, monitor purchases, and identify new suppliers aligning with evolving technical constraints
* Contribute to safety studies and analyses, such as risk assessments, HAZOP analyses, ATEX analyses, etc.
* Participate in the commissioning of the first industrial units
* Develop process validation protocols (FAT, SAT) and operating procedures (SOP) for industrial units
* Collaborate with regulatory authorities for regulatory and safety validation of installations
Your Profile
* 5-10 years of experience in process engineering in the chemical, petrochemical, energy, or environmental sectors
* Process or mechanical engineer (e.g., EPFL) or equivalent degree
* Solid practical experience in equipment design, preferably in ATEX and high-pressure environments (catalytic reactor, heat exchanger, high-pressure pump)
* Proven experience in designing piping systems subject to high stresses (pressure-temperature) and associated welding requirements
* Proficiency in performing industrial process calculations: material balances, energy balances, valve setting calculations, etc.
* A pragmatic approach, prioritizing practical and efficient solutions while adhering to safety and environmental standards
* Experience collaborating with R&D to successfully scale-up high-tech installations
* Open-minded and solution-oriented, with a strong emphasis on teamwork
* Excellent communication skills, with fluency in written and spoken French. English proficiency is also required, with additional languages being an asset
