Job Description
The Electrical Construction Manager will oversee electrical installation and commissioning activities on a state-of-the-art data centre project, ensuring timely delivery of electrical systems meeting high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all electrical works on the project, adhering to safety standards, local regulations, and project specifications.
* Oversee electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of systems within the data centre.
* Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
* Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, etc.) for integrated and efficient project execution.
* Monitor and report on progress, budget, and resource allocation to senior management and project stakeholders.
* Review electrical designs and shop drawings, recommending improvements or cost-effective solutions.
* Ensure electrical installation aligns with the project schedule and quality requirements.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety standards and work procedures.
* Lead, mentor, and support the electrical team, fostering collaboration, safety, and high performance.
* Identify and mitigate risks related to electrical construction activities.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience (5+ years) in electrical construction management, focusing on data centre, commercial, or industrial projects.
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including low voltage, medium voltage, UPS, generator, lighting, and power distribution systems.
* Experience managing and coordinating multiple subcontractors and vendors.
* Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
