Position Overview: Seeking an experienced and motivated Software Specialist PLC to join the team in St. Gallen. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming and configuring PLC systems, with proficiency in one or more of the following languages: SIEMENS TIA, Beckhoff, B&R, Fanuc, ABB, or Stäubli. This role requires fluency in German and a passion for developing advanced automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement PLC software solutions to meet the specific needs of our clients.
2. Program, configure, and test PLC systems
3. Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring optimal system performance.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to integrate PLC systems into larger automation projects.
5. Conduct system analysis and feasibility studies to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of PLC solutions.
6. Provide technical support and training to clients and team members on PLC systems and software.
7. Stay updated with the latest advancements in PLC technologies and programming languages.
Qualifications:
8. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Technology, or a related field.
9. Minimum of 3 years of experience in PLC programming and software development.
10. Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: SIEMENS TIA, Beckhoff, B&R, Fanuc, ABB, Stäubli.
11. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
12. Fluency in German is required; proficiency in English is a plus.
13. Experience in the manufacturing, robotics, or automotive industries is preferred.
