We are looking for a Digital Editor to create content that showcases our work and raises thought leadership profiles on our online channels.
You will have knowledge of international economics and its impact on the world. You will be excited by extracting insights from experts and writing relatable content that engages public audiences.
Main Responsibilities
1. Writing and Editing: Develop compelling economics-focused content for our website, ensuring messaging is newsworthy and relevant to our priorities.
2. Ideation and digital content curation: Work with audio and video teams to co-ordinate multimedia economics-related content for our online platforms.
3. Data storytelling: Use data visualization tools to bring research to life with creative data storytelling.
4. Project management: Coordinate content creation campaigns, ensure deadlines are met and quality standards maintained.
5. Content Management System (CMS): Work in our CMS to create a compelling digital experience, ensuring all content is uploaded and formatted correctly.
6. Social media content: Create social media copy to promote written and audio content, engaging audiences across various platforms.
Preferred Requirements and Experience
1. 5-7 years of writing and journalism experience, ideally on an economics beat, with excellent storytelling skills.
2. Sound understanding of economics and international affairs, proven experience of writing on related topics.
3. Able to pitch topical ideas and develop angles with authors to create compelling features and analyses.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of managing relationships in a complex environment.
5. Project management experience of delivering multimedia content, ensuring deadlines are met and resources used efficiently.
6. Mastery of editing, writing copy and handling revisions, including devising headlines and optimizing for SEO.
7. Digital proficiency in using CMS, project management tools, social media platforms and data visualization software.
