The Supply Chain Director is to lead the Switzerland Supply Chain department serving in a strategic and leadership role with full responsibility for the management and execution of key cross-functional projects throughout the Supply Chain organisation; forecasting and demand planning processes, demand planning and forecast accuracy, manage back office and local logistics network will be the main perimeter of responsibility. They will also be an active member of the global supply chain network and ensure the Swiss requirements are fulfilled.
The Supply Chain Director will be responsible for designing, planning, executing, controlling, and monitoring supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, synchronizing supply with demand, increasing inventory turn, reducing inventory, measuring performances. In addition, the role will have operational and contractual responsibility for all 3P and 3rd party organisations. Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Develop the supply chain strategy in line with Swiss MTP;
* Responsible for the budget and cost of all operations, understanding the numbers behind our operations, and being able to use them to tell a story (the "what" and the "so what") and drive savings;
* Be an active contributor of the leadership team and part of the global supply chain community, participating in MTP, strategy, business, and budget planning;
* Work closely with the European Logistics function to coordinate best operation set-up to support Market needs and participate in cross functions projects at Country and Regional level;
* Effectively negotiate terms and conditions for supplier contracts, adopt a commercial partnership approach, build strategic relationships whilst maintaining a watching brief over due diligence, quality, sustainable and environmental trends;
* Lead and coordinate all aspects of effective supply chain, including forecasting and demand planning, order management, returns, customer service, local logistics network etc;
* Responsible for Direct-to-Consumer supply chain and ensure the logistics function adapts and develops alongside the commercial business plan;
* Oversee strategic warehouse management planning including multi-site responsibilities (if needed), site improvements and change management activities;
* Sets objectives for the team and regularly monitors and reviews performance providing timely feedback and coaching in order to maximise capability within the team;
* Provide active hand-on support of day-to-day operational business activities;
* Key focus will be on demand planning processes, product launch and constant process improvement. Working directly with the commercial team and Commercial Director on forecasting, product allocation and inventory management over overstock. Key KPI’s and measurement of success will be forecast accuracy, OTIF, reduction and optimisation of inventory and stock rotation;
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and ethical sourcing practices;
* Explore innovation and new service opportunities, and implement where appropriate.
Job Profile Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
* Ideally degree level;
* Fluent in German and in English;
* Broad relevant Supply Chain experience, keep focus on the customer side rather than production/manufacturing;
* Relevant experience in Forecasting and Demand Planning;
* A successful leader, with the ability to inspire and develop high performance;
* Strong market insight to source goods within agreed timescales, anticipating problems, meeting cost saving objectives and stakeholder service level agreements;
* High learning agility, adaptability and track record of achieving exceptional results;
* Well-developed data analysis skills with the capability to be able to present complex data and scenarios and to articulate such information in an easily understood fashion in both verbal and written form;
* Determination to succeed whilst building sustainable relations with own team and customers;
* Collaborative approach to working;
* Budgetary control and management;
* Excellent knowledge of SAP (R3-IBP and strong IT skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
