Job Overview
The Brand Manager is a crucial global role in driving the Johnson Controls brand function for smart buildings. The Manager will oversee all brand projects, including brand strategy, performance, competitive evaluation and benchmarking, as well as planning, integration and activation support.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and refine JCIs brand strategy in smart buildings, encompassing brand architecture and identity creation.
* Develop competitive benchmarks and analysis for JCI's global brand performance in the smart buildings space, providing actionable recommendations.
* Provide governance and support for the global activation of the smart buildings brand strategy, monitoring progress and recommending gap closures.
* Promote key thought leadership and positioning programs to enhance the equity and strength of the brand in smart buildings.
* Cultivate programs and activities to increase global engagement in the smart buildings category, both externally and internally.
* Elevate awareness of the JCI smart buildings brand strategy across new acquisitions, joint ventures, events, and showcases.
Requirements
* Experience in developing brand messaging and narrative.
* Expertise in Brand articulation – visual, headlines, and messaging.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Native English language proficiency is essential for this position.
* Proven experience in brand strategy and positioning, with expertise in brand architecture.
* Demonstrated ability to create and implement effective brand architectures that define and organize multiple brands within a portfolio.
* Extensive experience in marketing and communications, specifically in Brand Strategy for a global organization.
* A demonstrated track record of collaboration and teamwork.
* A strong sense of curiosity and entrepreneurial spirit, actively seeking opportunities.
* The ability to thrive in a fast-paced international environment, with a strong sense of urgency.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Product Marketing role.
* B2B brand marketing expertise.
* A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or Communications.
