Summary:
Kuros Biosciences AG is looking for an experienced Finance Process Manager to support on various finance topics with emphasis on risk management. The role involves support on establishing and maintaining the strategic side of corporate finance, including target tracking, project management, and enterprise performance management, as well as the compliance side, including SOPs and risk management. This position reports to the Director of FP&A and Corporate Accounting and is based at our corporate center in Schlieren, Zürich.
Responsibilities:
Implement and maintain an enterprise risk management.
Stay on top of potential risks, and be adequately aware of the risk exposure of the business, keeping its internal operations in mind.
Identify risks, evaluate them in terms of their plausibility and repercussions, and curate risk mitigation and management policies to reduce the effectiveness of the risk.
Mentor and lead senior management and stakeholders by providing guidance and advice on legal and financial risk management.
Custom-make risk management processes as per the current standing of the company, keeping in mind its future variations.
Develop risk control and management strategies to reduce the financial and legal impact on the business.
Evaluate the current risk management processes and determine their effectiveness in a future scenario.
Liaise with and guide senior management and the stakeholders about the current and potential risks through reports, documentation, and presentations periodically.
Ensure that the company meets its legal and regulatory risk requirements.
Prepare risk contingency plans to tackle future risk management issues.
Provide support to the Group CFO on ad-hoc projects.
Support the preparation of budgets, and thereafter tracking, reporting, and analysing budget variances.
Prepare month-end reports for management, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Recommend changes in policies or procedures that will improve financial performance.
Forecast future financial performance.
Support treasury topics.
Support financial modelling to predict outcomes.
Requirements:
Flexible, ambitious, and able to adapt to changes, with a collaborative and cross-functional mindset.
Skilled in working with local teams across different countries and cultural barriers.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 to 7 years of relevant experience in a Swiss-listed environment or a Big 4 firm.
Solid knowledge of risk management principles.
Excellent project management skills, with the ability to set up and manage complex projects.
Strong presentation skills, able to communicate complex matters to various audiences, including senior leadership.
Fluent in both English and German, with excellent communication skills.
Prepared to work extended hours during peak seasons.
Willingness to travel occasionally for several days at a time.
