The Role
We're seeking an experienced Lead Software Architect to oversee software project design and technical success from initial concept through delivery. This includes defining system architecture, guiding development teams, and making key decisions on tools and technologies.
You'll play a crucial role in ensuring scalability, security, and performance while collaborating with stakeholders and steering the project's technical direction.
Your Impact
You'll be responsible for developing complex IT architectures and providing strategic-technological advice to customers.
You'll manage teams from a technical perspective and work closely with project management teams.
Your leadership skills will inspire and mobilize your team and customers to achieve project goals.
You'll contribute to the success of various projects by coaching team members in Software Engineering and Architecture and applying agile principles.
You'll also further develop our Zühlke network of experts and work on group-wide initiatives to improve software development.
What We're Looking For
1. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. At least five years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or Architect.
3. Knowledge in developing highly available and secure cloud solutions, expertise in software architectures and documentation, and experience with microservices and domain-driven design.
4. Experience in Backend (Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases, Apache Kafka) and Frontend (Angular or React).
5. Knowledge of DevOps/GitOps, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, security, OAuth2, OIDC, authentication, and authorization.
6. Convincing leadership qualities, coaching and mentoring mentality, growth mindset, and willingness to learn continuously.
7. Excellent communication skills and fluency in German and English (at least C1 level).
