Job Responsibilities Read engineering drawings and inspect the machined product accordingly.
Inspect forging and casting as per drawings.
Review the heat treatment graph.
Prepare QAP and test certification documents as per EN10204.
Perform the hardness test.
Review and approve (UT, VT, LPT) inspections.
Witness and approve pressure tests (shell test, seat test, functional test).
Read and interpret ASTM and AISI standards.
Follow quality management system requirements.
Deal with third-party inspections for witness and review.
Verify material and laboratory test certificates.
Calibrate monitoring and measuring instruments from laboratories and review calibration reports (i.e., Vernier, micrometer, pressure gauge, thread gauges, etc.).
Maintain traceability records.
Inspect material at the vendor’s place as required.
Read and implement specifications like BPVC, API, ASTM, and AISI.
Maintain QC records.
Witness types of tests in laboratories PAN India.
Job/Knowledge Requirements Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
Awareness of material standards like ASTM and AISI for steel and rubber.
Knowledge of monitoring and measuring instruments.
Awareness of calibration specifications.
Experience in precision machined component manufacturing; experience in valve/fitting manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
Experience with CNC and VMC machining.
Exposure to quality management systems will be an added advantage.
Awareness of NDT; proficiency in UT and LPT will be an added advantage.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Skill Requirements Good at reading engineering drawings and GD.
Good at documentation preparation and able to prepare handwritten inspection reports.
