Mission:
The Pallet Insights squad at Verity helps clients optimize warehouse operations by combining data from our fully autonomous drones with data from their existing systems. This unlocks critical inventory insights, allowing clients to detect and resolve issues and improve their processes to achieve a zero-error warehouse.
We’re looking for a technical leader who thrives in a fast-moving environment and is ready to push the boundaries of warehouse automation.
Your Role:
* Develop new features for our autonomous inventory system, ensuring seamless integration with client operations as well outstanding user satisfaction and value delivery.
* Own projects end-to-end, from concept to production, in collaboration with your squad and product manager.
* Drive engineering excellence, improving system architecture, testing strategies, and development workflows.
* Develop cloud-based features, applications, services, and pipelines as part of a cross-functional team, ensuring scalability and reliability.
* Work closely with product managers and clients to understand the product end-to-end and design impactful, high-value solutions.
* Maintain top-tier software quality through testing, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and active participation in code reviews, system architecture discussions, and process improvements.
Your Experience:
* Degree (BSc, MSc, PhD) in computer science, software engineering, or relevant field
* 8+ years of professional hands-on experience in developing and delivering production-grade software, preferably in the context of distributed event-based systems, machine-learning, and data-intensive applications.
* Accomplished technical and project leader with a proven ability to collaborate across functions, manage stakeholders, and take full ownership of projects & solutions.
* Highly-skilled python application developer with comprehensive experience deploying & operating workloads in the cloud, preferably on AWS.
* Additional plus:
o Knowledge of machine/deep-learning algorithms and infrastructure
o Experience building applications following Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design paradigms
o Experience with edge computing
