Job Description:
We are seeking a Business Analyst - Oracle ERP to join our team in Geneva, Switzerland. This role will involve working as a core member of the Finance to Manage (F2M) process area stream within our Business Transformation unit.
The successful candidate will provide knowledge and advice on the best ways to use the Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP platform related to financial matters. Key responsibilities will include supporting F2M solution strategy, advisory, experimenting/prototyping, configuration, test strategy, and cutover preparation.
Project Context and Scope
The client's Business Transformation aims to modernize business methods, processes, and technology solutions for Support functions, including project management, finance, budget and accounting, fund raising, human resources, supply chain, contracts, risk management, and other general services.
The Finance to Manage (F2M) stream is critical to ensure an integrated, end-to-end Financial set of processes and data models are delivered using modern best practices and minimizing customizations required to the Oracle platform.
Organizational Department / Unit
The consultants will work within the F2M process area stream of the Business Transformation unit, under the F2M Stream Lead. They will have frequent direct interactions with the BT Programme Leadership team, including members of the BT-Design Authority, technical integration and data migration teams, and Business Process Owners.
Tasks to be performed
1. Solution Strategy, Blueprinting and Realization
* Provide technical guidance and develop expertise on solution components and participate in configuration and management of the solution.
* Align and coordinate collected business requirements with selected solution and any decisions taken on solution strategy, including ongoing change control and management.
* Supervise and contribute to translating business requirements into functional specifications, maintaining traceability throughout development process including all solution documentation.
2. Reports
* Provide technical guidance on formulating Oracle reports via OTBI, BIP, FAW and others.
* Create reports in Oracle and prepare functional design documents.
* Conduct quality testing of reports developed by third-party consultants and provide feedback to client needs.
* Assist in developing End-user training documents for reports and conducting training for users as needed.
3. Data Migration
* Support and coordinate Stream Lead and Business Process Owner through analysis and other planning tasks to determine scope of data to be archived or migrated to new platform(s), including source data analysis and testing requirements for migrated data.
* Support reconciliation of pre and post-data load to Oracle.
4. Change Management
* In this area, the business analyst will work in collaboration with Organizational Alignment (OA), Communications and Training teams to perform analysis and provide inputs to ensure organizational aspects interdependent on future solution are aligned.
* Identify changes in working practices due to future solution and support impact analysis, liaising with Change Management team.
* Contribute to and support training team in developing plans, objectives, syllabi and collateral/materials for role-based training; and provide test support for training materials.
* Support and in some cases perform training delivery (online, in-person, ranging from training delivery through support of training delivery).
5. Testing
* Participate actively in development of test objectives and specific test scenarios and scripts.
* Participate in User Acceptance Tests (UAT) as both test support and as a tester.
6. Cutover and Go-live Support
7. Work closely with cutover team to identify business and related technical tasks that need to be performed as part of cutover and participate in management of test runs and actual cutover activities.
