Acr Project Finance Accounting Manager - Ey Global Delivery Service
Job Summary
Take full ownership and accountability for the delivery of Project analysis services, ensuring operational excellence, adherence to SLAs and providing actionable insights to help client stakeholders take timely actions to improve business performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Perform analytics on project performance, costing, fees, revenue recognition aspects etc.
2. Interact with business stakeholders to assess and determine project completion milestones which triggers recognition of revenue and associated cost.
3. Monitor and help solve project billing and revenue issues.
4. Manage Change orders; setup of change order implications in terms of revenue and costs both in Workday (ERP) and satellite billing system.
5. Act as a business partner to client business leaders; identify areas of improvement in project economics, monitor under and over runs in costs and revenue, cost leakage prevention, margin improvement etc.
6. Prepare crisp and impactful project performance briefings with supporting data and analysis for senior client leaders.
7. Monitor Project performance metrics and KPIs, providing regular reports to senior management on the health and progress of contracted KPIs.
8. Demonstrate experience in Revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP.
9. Set up projects in ERPs, create cost budgets, determine billing points based on Contract terms and conditions and applicable accounting guidelines.
10. Manage accounting, analysis and reporting of named cohort of customer projects.
11. Support preparation of revenue forecasts and manage audit requirements.
Essential Requirements
1. 10+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CA, CPA) is advantageous.
2. Prior experience in Project accounting in the professional services industry is a must.
3. Demonstrated experience in multi-dimensional analytics - customer, vendor, margin, cost of delivery etc.
4. Tenacity to dig deeper into data to extract hidden insights for facilitating superior business decisions.
5. Exceptional leadership capabilities with a proven ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
6. Working knowledge of Workday and Anaplan system and prior experience of going through Workday implementation will be an added advantage.
7. High proficiency in MS Excel for slicing the data and creating meaningful reports with insights and commentary.

This role may require extended working hours during peak reporting periods and may involve occasional travel. May also be required to work in shifts that have few hours of overlap with Americas and Europe with EY and client stakeholders.
