Financial Controller Zurich CHF 125,000 plus bonus plus package
Based close to Zurich, my client is a world-class group working in the renewables and energy sector.
My client is global, dynamic, and acquisitive. As a result of recent acquisitions, we are retained to assist in the appointment of a Financial Controller.
This is an office-based role but with the opportunity for international travel including the Caribbean!

Responsibilities:
* Participation and input into preparation of Annual- and Interim Financial Consolidation Reports in compliance with IFRS.
* Ensure application of latest IFRS accounting standards.
* Evaluate accounting implications of specific transactions (reorganization, acquisition, mergers, etc.).
* Work closely with subsidiary finance teams to collect and validate financial data for consolidation purposes.
* Liaison to the Swiss accounting teams to address key topics and ensure compliance of statutory accounts.
* Ensure appropriate internal control systems.
* Coordination with tax, treasury, and budgeting functions.
* Enhancement of the group accounting manual and ensure that it is regularly updated.
* Perform variance analyses and provide explanations for significant movements in consolidated financial results.
* Assist in providing documentation and explanations during audits.

* Swiss Board of Directors.
* Executive and senior management.
* Various Teams at Headquarters including Marketing, Communications.
* Global CFOs and finance teams.
* Various Consultants including banks, analysts, lawyers.
* Group Auditors.
Minimum Requirements:
* 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Financial Controller role in an international business and/or audit firm, including financial consolidation work.
* Experience with Swiss GAAP and requirements under Swiss Law.
* Ideally, experience with Cognos controller consolidation tool (or similar tool).
* Internal audit experience can also be beneficial.
* Knowledge of IFRS.
Qualifications:
* Qualified chartered accountant or similar academic background with a strong understanding of consolidation principles.
* Team player.
* Fluent in English and German, written and verbal.
* Responsible, with the ability to multi-task and analyze.
* Attention to detail and data presentation.
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to be flexible when working with short or tight deadlines.
* Can work with minimal supervision.
Mobility requirements (time spent travelling internationally, nationally, etc.): International travel from time to time.
