Senior Account Manager - Vice President Closed Ended Fund Accounting

The successful applicant will maintain the client relationship, take responsibility for co-ordination and allocation of the team’s workload, and ensure compliance with internal and external controls in the area of Private Equity fund accounting.
You should have relevant experience in the auditing or administration of PE funds. You will have a proven knowledge of the fund industry and should have demonstrated experience in a similar role. Experience working on Geneva / Investran would also be highly beneficial for this position.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the detailed review of the reconciliation and calculation of periodic net asset values of various funds, including waterfall calculations.
* Communicate with the investment manager and investors regarding all aspects of the account’s operation.
* Update accounting and client relationship management systems, verify statistical information, oversee financial statements preparation, and work with external auditors.
* Review fee structures calculation at each NAV i.e., carry and management fees.
* Oversee outsourced office and their assigned relationships, ensuring timely and accurate NAV calculation along with any other client-specific reporting requirements.
* Liaise with Investment Managers, Auditors, Brokers, Custodians, and Investors frequently.
* Ensure client enquiries are answered in accordance with Apex service standards on an ongoing basis.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the fund’s specifications.
* Ensure compliance with all internal deadlines for reporting and MIS.
* Ensure accurate internal revenue reporting.
* Supervise, train, and recruit accounting staff.
* Ensure accurate delegation of work across your team.
* Ensure effective communication with colleagues and corresponding departments.
Skills:
* At least 4-5 years extensive fund accounting experience including supervision of teams.
* Experience with general ledger accounting.
* Strong computer skills including Excel & Word. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions desirable.
* Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
* Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* An ability to think critically and objectively.
* The flexibility and willingness to work additional hours as needed.
* University degree - accounting, finance, business, or economics preferred (or overseas equivalent).
* Geneva / Investran experience would be advantageous.
* Experience of Luxembourg domiciled structures also an advantage.
