About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Regulatory Reporting Remediation Specialist to join our team in Europe. This role focuses on improving the quality, accuracy, and traceability of regulatory returns while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Return Review: Analyse and review processes for preparing regulatory returns, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
2. Issue Remediation: Investigate reporting errors, identify root causes, and lead remediation efforts to prevent recurrence.
3. Process Mapping and Optimisation: Map and analyse reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and control gaps, recommending improvements.
4. Design and Implement Control Uplifts: Reduce risk in the Regulatory reporting process by working closely with BAU teams.
5. Collaborate with Data Teams: Enable them to document data lineage for Regulatory reporting processes, track and document remediation plans, and provide corrective action follow-ups.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business teams, data owners, and technology teams to align on reporting requirements and remediation plans.
7. Risk Management: Manage Risks, Issues & Dependencies and escalate as required.
8. Programme Support: Provide programme and project support across a range of tasks according to programme needs, including managing issues, coordinating across different teams, prioritising activity, and providing input into briefing papers and updates for various forums.
9. Sustainably Embedded Controls: Support target operating model work to ensure the improved control environment is sustainably embedded into BAU, promoting a culture of control awareness and best practice across the regulatory return processes.
Requirements:
1. Strong Knowledge of Key Regulatory Frameworks and Requirements (e.g., Basel, EBA, PRA).
2. Experience with Data Lineage, Traceability, and Process Remediation.
3. Ability to Identify, Assess, and Remediate Reporting Errors and Process Inefficiencies.
4. Strong Risk Assessment Skills with the Ability to Propose Control Enhancements.
5. Demonstrated Ability to Optimise Reporting Processes while Maintaining Compliance.
6. Understanding of the Role of Regulators and of the Purpose and Context of Regulatory Reporting.
7. Finance and Regulatory Audit Background Desirable.
8. Capability to Solve Complex Problems, Initiative to Spot Improvements, and Highly Collaborative Approach.
9. Management Responsibilities through Subordinate Managers Performing Diverse Activities (Cross-Discipline e.g. Finance, Technology, Banking).
