Job Description:
For one of our clients, an international company in Rotkreuz, we are looking for a Development Engineer. This position requires the willingness to handle potentially infectious human material. In the Performance Verification Team, we collect qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate the components throughout the entire instrument life cycle. We verify the overall BGE system according to prescribed guidelines and customer-oriented method simulation with appropriate evaluation and documentation. In this position, changing work packages and short-term requests are part of our daily business. A high degree of flexibility is part of our everyday work.

Tasks & Responsibilities: Independent planning, implementation, evaluation and documentation of experiments in the BSL-2 laboratory in various project phases.
Coordination of the test contents with internal interfaces and regular communication to relevant stakeholders about the progress of the tests.
Responsible for the progress of the systems testing activities within the project according to the defined work packages.
Independent preparation of documentation in English and application of the corresponding processes and tools.
Independent evaluation, interpretation and presentation of the results of measurement series according to regulatory and project-specific requirements.
Identification, minimization, tracking and reporting of risks and issues according to process and/or project definitions.
Questioning existing laboratory processes/sample preparation methods, identification of optimization needs from a technical and scientific point of view, and subsequent independent implementation.
You identify/develop suitable statistical methods together with project members for determining specifications and critical process parameters for test planning.
Training and accompanying new employees, apprentices, and students.
Must Haves: Completed scientific degree (Master) or many years of experience in the development, verification and implementation of analysis methods in the diagnostic environment.
At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable position, especially in a laboratory environment, preferably within a manufacturing company.
Enjoy practical work in the laboratory (70% laboratory / 30% desk).
Hepatitis vaccination available, including titer confirmation not older than 6 months.
Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
Experience in the MS Office environment as well as with SAP and Simulink.
Enjoyment and experience in dealing with technical challenges, curious and exploratory nature.
Solution-oriented approach.
Nice to Haves: Used to working independently and proactively.
Experience in programming languages.
Very good understanding of complex issues, structured thinking and openness as well as enthusiasm for new technologies, ideas and solutions.
Experience in developing medical products - integration of individual components into the overall system.
Experience in monitoring and evaluating development configurations for functionality and release.
Analytical thinking skills, problem-solving skills and ability to deal with interdisciplinary interfaces as a project member in the development team.
