Key Job Responsibilities
1. Ensure a seamless and reliable procurement process for production sites in Western Europe.
2. Determine spend allocation within the category independently, with alignment required from senior management when necessary.
3. Take full accountability for managing the ingredient portfolio.
4. Lead negotiations with customers to finalize price fixations.
5. Manage cross-regional raw material tenders and propose strategic allocation plans.
6. Develop and implement sourcing strategies to optimize cost efficiency and drive profitability.
7. Builddistinctive relationships with suppliers and industry stakeholders.
8. Collaborate with internal teams to continually improve ingredient sourcing processes and support business objectives.
9. Work closely with the market analysis team to ensure informed procurement decisions.
10. Contribute actively to cross-functional projects related to sustainability, R&D, and other areas of focus.
11. Serve as a key point of contact for functions including sales, quality, supply chain, and sustainability teams.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Agronomics, Economics, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar procurement role within the ingredients industry.
3. Strong knowledge of the vegetable oils and fats market, encompassing supplier landscapes and commodity trends.
4. A proven track record of managing purchasing portfolios in fast-paced, global environments.
5. Prior experience with emulsifiers/lecithin is an asset.
6. Excellent analytical skills coupled with a problem-solving mindset.
7. Focused on delivering results, able to plan and execute against deadlines.
8. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and take ownership of the category.
10. Able to adapt quickly to changing market conditions.
11. Fluency in English; proficiency in French and German is highly valued.
