We are seeking a Strategic Buyer to join our procurement team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strong relationships with business units, supply chain leaders, value chain VPs, plant/production directors, and R&D directors to ensure their expectations are met and provide access to other decision-makers for procurement teams in markets and plants.
* Gain in-depth knowledge of the supply base industry (industry analysis, supply analysis, and segmentation, sourcing choice).
* Develop, align with business, and implement sourcing strategies.
* Conduct demand analysis with local stakeholders.
* Track and report procurement performance within sub-categories.
* Active management of threads/risks and balancing with potentials/opportunities.
* Support Commodity Managers in procurement topics and represent them on site.
* Provide minimum target annual savings through cost reductions, cost avoidance, and operational improvements.
* Find ways to penetrate spend and provide process and expertise to impact that spend.
* Conduct RFI/RFP/RFQ and perform evaluation.
* Prepare supplier selection.
* Establish supplier relationship management.
* Negotiate and contract preparation.
* Perform supplier management and supplier development activities on higher-level initiatives and optimization plans.
* Evaluate supplier overall compliance and realize supplier liability management.
* Cost Management: Negotiate the lowest total cost of ownership for assigned suppliers. Achieve saving targets according to sourcing strategy. Supplier Management: define and manage business partner, strategic, and key supplier relationships to best meet the needs of business. Accountable for the identification, implementation, and tracking of continuous improvement initiatives at selected suppliers.
* Product lifecycle management/New Product Development: Support & participate on new product development teams as assigned, helping to ensure early supplier involvement and participate in phase-out/engineering change activities.
* Bruker Supplier Management/Supplier Performance Evaluation: Accountable for achieving improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Requirements:
* Completed studies in logistics, procurement, engineering sciences, or a related field.
* Experience in the field of procurement.
* Strong teamwork skills as an integral part of your personality.
* Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
* Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
* Good English language skills are an advantage.
