The opportunity
Planon and SAP have recently agreed a world-wide alliance agreement. This agreement is of significant strategic importance to Planon. In 2024, we already have had several important successes and wins, especially in the DACH region, within the global SAP eco-system. Based on this success, we now aim to drive even more revenue growth in 2025 and beyond with the Planon - SAP alliance. In order to achieve this important goal in the most efficient way possible, we are creating a new position entitled, New business Sales Manager SAP - DACH region. This position reports to the Managing Director of the Central region.
Your job
The New Business Sales Manager SAP is an overlay position reporting to the Managing Director of Planon DACH and to the World-Wide Business Development Manager for SAP in the Planon HQ. In this exciting new role, you will focus on spotting market trends, identifying and generating new business opportunities with SAP customers and build a strong network with the DACH SAP and Planon teams, with the local SAP implementation partners as well as leveraging Schneider Electric (Planon is part of). Specifically, you will closely work together with the SAP ecosystem of SAP departments, SAP VAR’s and SAP system integrators
You will set short- and long-term sales strategies based on the goals for our SAP business and evaluate constantly the effectiveness of this strategy. A very close and tight teamworking with the SAP colleagues in our sector is critical to the success of this role.
You successfully fulfill your role by:
* Creating and executing your business plan in close cooperation with local Planon and SAP teams
* Target, discover and close new opportunities in existing and new target markets;
* Pro-actively represent Planon within the SAP Community in the DACH region;
* Expanding sales and marketing activities through warm leads
* Respond to RFQs and RFPs;
* Giving presentations and demos at client and SAP locations
* Attend international events and show active presence on social media;
* Ensure a reliable pipeline and forecast in Salesforce in association with local Planon team.
