Job Description As a Segment Manager, you will be a thought leader and have ownership of key industrial and consumer vertical markets in the Americas. As a part of the Americas sales organization, you will use your business development acumen to develop relationships with key stakeholders, and work closely with the sales and marketing team to develop the sales funnel. You will work closely with product and strategy managers to ensure that our roadmap is aligned with segment needs. To be successful, you will need to leverage your industry knowledge to define and promote innovative solutions to solve customer challenges and gain market share in key segments.
Your Responsibilities
1. Identify key market trends and potential customers within focus segments
2. Define and execute sales and marketing strategies
3. Identify and qualify opportunities within key segments and drive design wins
4. Develop solutions for market needs including but not limited to: hardware, software, services, platforms, partnerships
5. Position and articulate the value of the solutions into the market segment. Provide input to global segment management
6. Establish and maintain productive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders
7. Contribute to corporate strategy initiatives in the market segment
8. Perform competitive analysis of solutions and develop clearly differentiated solutions
9. Understand the service and potential hardware architecture of the customer and which u-blox products can fit
10. Understand service provider ecosystem for focus customers and position u-blox services
Your Skills and Experience
11. At least 5 years of business development or sales experience in semiconductor solutions including cellular modems, GPS/GNSS and Wi-Fi/Bluetooth technologies, or connectivity services
12. End-to-End Internet of Things systems architecture knowledge
13. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
14. Ability to plan and execute in the short term and long term
15. Frequent domestic and international travel (up to 75%)
16. Track record in revenue growth and design wins
17. Works collaboratively with a team to achieve results in a team environment
