Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* We are seeking an individual who can deliver monthly financial reports (within our published deadlines) in accordance with US GAAP rules, including manufacturing KPIs.
* This role requires performing balance sheet and P&L analysis, as well as reconciling the monthly balance sheet, including payroll, inventory, accruals, and VAT, and posting associated journals.
* The successful candidate will assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, working collaboratively across functions with department heads and non-financial leaders.
* Maintenance of item/cost records for bills of material and routings, and assistance in updating standard costs annually.
* Closing work orders and analyzing daily inventory transactions, explaining manufacturing variances by reviewing work orders, and collaborating with production supervisors to understand yield.
* Supporting physical inventory counts and aiding in the development and implementation of cycle count processes.
* Preparing E&O provisions using sound judgment.
* Liaising with external partners on AP, AR, cash management, intercompany transactions, SOX, and fixed assets.
* Reviewing internal controls (for SOX compliance) and assisting with internal and external audits.
* Serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors, preparing local statutory accounts, and assisting with annual corporation tax computations.
* Other duties as assigned.
Desired Minimum Qualifications/Experience
* A qualified accountant with at least three years of post-qualification experience.
* Familiarity with SOX and US GAAP principles.
* Fluency in French and English.
* Strong systems background in Oracle would be advantageous, as well as advanced Microsoft Office skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with experience working in diverse environments.
