In this role you report to the Lead Product Manager within the COO Trading team and will be key in realizing the transformation and future ambitions of Alpiq’s Trading Division. The COO team is a dynamic and diverse group of 10 professionals located over the 3 trading locations of Alpiq. The team drives strategic business change, trade support operations, new product development and is instrumental in solving operational, commercial, and strategic issues facing the business. The Product Management team at Alpiq is responsible for the analysis, implementation and phase-out processes for the entire Alpiq group, including trading and origination activities in several European countries.
You will work closely with a broad group of stakeholders from Finance, Risk, Front Office, Middle Office, Backoffice and others. You will support the Lead Product Manager in coordinating the product lifecycle management across multiple departments and locations.Your main responsibilitiesManage full product life cycle, driving efficient and effective product design, approval and phase-out processesEnsure accuracy of product documentation (Business Case, Risk Analysis, Product description, etc.)Collaborate closely with the New Product Community based in multiple locations across EuropeLiase with the different stakeholders as product ambassador/single point of contact for Alpiq’s products along the value chain of asset, trading and origination.Initiate and manage product management related projects and initiativesEnsure stakeholders’ awareness of the product management governance documents and support in answering related questionsYour profileMinimum 2 years of proven work experience in the energy trading or financial sector, ideally within product management, sales & origination, trading or Middle OfficeMaster’s degree in finance or Energy ManagementExperience in project management related to business processes within sales & origination or tradingExperience in Product Management within the energy trading or banking industryStrong project and process management skillsAnalytic and structured thinker, result and detail oriented with excellent stakeholder management, interpersonal and communication skills.Additional relevant skills: strong process orientation, open minded, inclusive personality, self-starter. Comfortable in interacting with diverse groups of different backgroundsFluent in English; German, French or Italian is an advantage
