Audi F1 Project
Welcome to Audi's innovative Formula 1 project, where we are pushing the boundaries of performance and technology.
With three locations - our state-of-the-art Motorsport Competence Center in Neuburg, Germany, the Sauber Group's Formula 1 factory in Hinwil, Switzerland, and our UK-based Technical Center - we are bringing together the best minds in the industry to create a world-class racing team.
We are seeking talented individuals who share our passion for motorsport and are driven by a desire to succeed. If you are someone who embodies the spirit of an athlete, always striving to improve and overcome challenges, then we want to hear from you.
Your Mission
* Develop advanced numerical and optimization methods for our simulation tools, including lap time simulation, DIL simulator, kinematic simulation, and telemetry data analysis.
* Optimize source code and vehicle model definition for efficient real-time computation.
* Analyze and improve the numerical robustness of the simulation model.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge simulation methodologies.
* Contribute to the development of the vehicle physics model.
* E nsure all source code is thoroughly tested, documented, and communicated effectively to key stakeholders.
Your Profile
* Masters or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field with a strong focus on numerical simulation.
* Proven experience (3+ years) in developing simulation models, ideally within Formula 1 or another high-level motorsport environment.
* Strong coding skills in C/C++, with knowledge of C#, Python, and Matlab also beneficial.
* Experience in simulating nonlinear systems, preferably those defined by differential algebraic equations.
* Expertise in developing parallelized and efficient real-time simulation models.
* Sound understanding of mechanics, vehicle systems, and multi-body simulation.
* Highly motivated, dedicated, creative, results-driven, and able to work independently with attention to detail.
* P ragmatic, stress-tolerant, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
We strive to be an inclusive and equal opportunities employer, providing a supportive environment that encourages diversity and collaboration.
