Key Responsibilities
1. Handling and preparing end user device hardware with particular focus on WiFi access points and handheld RF scanners - following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), predefined processes, or manuals.
2. Providing 2nd and 3rd level desktop and infrastructure support via tickets raised and assigned in Service Now, ensuring delivery to business colleagues meets a defined SLA.
3. Collaborating closely with a 3rd party vendor for resolution of hardware-related issues.
4. Taking end-to-end ownership of hard-to-solve and slow-moving incidents.
5. Managing problems and incidents effectively.
6. Acting as a local project coordinator for hardware/software updates and rollouts as required.
7. Ensuring accurate recording of all end user devices in a centralized CMDB, tracking changes and making appropriate and timely updates.
8. Overall responsibility for the support of IT services within the location.
9. Participating in support-related projects as an expert and/or project coordinator.
10. Providing support for other locations/offices as appropriate, which may require travel on short notice.
11. Participating in an ‘on call’ scheme to provide support assistance either remotely or on-site.
12. Acting as an ambassador and champion of the IT services provided.
We are looking for
1. Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in large organizations.
2. Experience handling onsite infrastructure components including end user computing and data center equipment.
3. Advanced desktop usage of LINUX + WIN OS (Mac is a benefit but not a requirement), VPN & Citrix, Mobile Devices, Windows 11, and 2nd level desktop support.
4. Good understanding of end user devices and peripherals.
5. Knowledge of WLAN Wi-Fi setup.
6. Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as Teams Rooms, Video conferencing, and IP Softphones.
7. Familiarity with common PC accessories and their connections.
8. Skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, Teams, Project, Visio) from a supporting end user perspective.
9. Ability to set up mobile devices like iOS and Android devices, with basic knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
10. Understanding of IT infrastructure components such as routers, switches, and cabling.
11. Basic server and network troubleshooting skills.
12. Knowledge of file and print services and Active Directory.
13. Experience with an IT Service Management application such as Service Now.
14. Awareness of Change and Risk Management.
15. Basic knowledge of collaboration equipment such as Teams Rooms devices.
16. Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and configuring handheld scanners.
17. ITIL V3 Foundation Certification.
