Position: Rota Nanny/Household Manager
Location: Verbier, Switzerland
Description: A UK/French client in Verbier seeks a compassionate and professional rota nanny/household manager for a 10-year-old girl who lives with her father. The girl attends school full-time and maintains an active schedule with numerous extracurricular activities, including skiing, horseback riding, and other sports. We seek someone with the ability to build a warm, positive connection with her, while also upholding a strong sense of organization and commitment.
Rota: 5/6 days on, 5/6 days off, with a schedule to be coordinated with another nanny.
Accommodation: Accommodation & car provided (no flights included).
Qualifications:
Kind and Empathetic: The candidate should naturally connect with children and foster a nurturing, supportive environment.
Experienced with Older Children: Skilled in engaging, inspiring, and guiding older children with sensitivity and positive energy.
Encourages Learning Through Play: Able to plan educational, fun activities that encourage curiosity and growth.
Integrative with Family Life: Someone who can blend seamlessly with our family’s values and contribute positively to the household dynamic.
Primary Responsibilities:
Providing a loving, stimulating environment that addresses the child’s social, emotional, and physical needs.
Assisting with schoolwork to ensure homework is completed accurately and on time.
Liaising with teachers as needed to support the child’s development.
Scheduling regular doctor and dentist visits.
Organizing the child’s bedroom and play areas.
Preparing nutritious meals and snacks.
Arranging age-appropriate outings and activities.
Managing school runs and transport to activities, including airport and train station trips as needed.
Traveling with the family as required for vacations and trips.
Supporting bedtime routines, including reading and settling the child for sleep.
Managing the child’s laundry.
Running household errands, including shopping as needed.
Qualifications:
Clean, valid driver’s license.
Proven experience working with children in similar roles, particularly with active, school-aged children.
A caring, responsible demeanor with the ability to provide structure and encouragement.
Relevant childcare certifications and/or first-aid training are a plus.
