We are seeking an Accountant to join our team at our Pfäffikon site. Alternatively, you may also work from our Balzers location.
This exciting role entails timely and accurate submission of actual financial figures on a monthly basis, meeting local tax requirements, and ensuring effective Internal Control Systems and conformity to financial, fiscal, and social audits.
Your Responsibilities
Month-End Closing Activities:
* Oversight of month-end closing process: understand, monitor, and contribute to the Finance & Accounting work provided by the Shared Service Center Team (SSC)
* Collaborate with SSC to improve the month-end closing process
* Reconcile and clear financial accounts; report special items
* Manage cash, swaps, and FX hedging; review weekly payment runs
* Oversee specific accounting topics, such as License Fees, Global and Regional Back charges, GR/IR clearing, and Fixed/Intangible assets
Year-End, Audit, Internal Control:
* Execute year-end statutory closing
* Act as a partner for internal and external audits
* File Annual Income Tax forms in alignment with Group Tax
* Perform spot checks for the internal control system
* Ensure accurate and updated Desktop Procedures for Financial Processes
Finance Improvement:
* Create Transfer Price (TP) documentation according to Group Tax guidelines
* Complete ad-hoc surveys and reports; support sub-regional projects
Your Profile
* Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent qualification
* Minimum 2 years' experience in financial accounting, preferably in a similar role
* Familiarity with IFRS and local GAAP
* Strong knowledge of SAP and MS Office suite, particularly Excel
* Understanding of processes, business requirements, and financial contexts
* Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain attention to detail, and deliver results under time pressure
* Open-minded, positive attitude, and collaborative mindset, ideally with international and cross-cultural experience
* Desirable: Chartered Specialist in Accounting and Financial Management
* Fluent English language skills and strong understanding of German
