Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute business strategies for portfolio companies, focusing on value creation.
* Maintain and strengthen relationships with senior-level investors and partners across the Transportation and Energy sectors.
* BUILD a robust professional network within the industry, fostering long-lasting connections.
* Participate in operational due diligence processes for new investments and existing portfolio companies.
* Identify and capitalize on opportunities within the portfolio to drive growth.
* Lead or facilitate negotiations with various stakeholders and present recommendations to the executive committee and CEO.
* Establish strong partnerships with C-level executives of portfolio companies.
* Drive financial and operational optimization, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Collaborate closely with the finance committee and internal teams to meet annual budget targets and revised 5-year plans.
* Provide market insights and guidance to team members.
* Serve as a Board member for selected portfolio companies, reporting directly to the Head of Investments.
Essential Qualifications
* Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or Science; an MBA is highly valued.
* Minimum 10 years of experience in Investment or Senior leadership roles within the Energy or Transportation sectors.
* Demonstrated track record in financial management, operational execution, and due diligence or corporate M&A experience within an infrastructure company.
* Background in top-tier strategy consulting or Private Equity, Infrastructure, preferably combined with corporate experience in a transportation company.
* In-depth understanding of the market, accompanied by established business connections in the Energy and Transportation fields.
* Superior networking and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively with senior management both internally and externally.
* Experience in project finance execution is highly advantageous.
* A hands-on, self-motivated individual with a pragmatic approach and autonomy to work independently.
* Strong integrity, loyalty, and interpersonal skills to adapt to diverse cultural environments.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to various stakeholders.
* Fluency in English; proficiency in German is a plus.
